In Reversal Because of A.I., Office Jobs Are Now More at Risk

A chart titled 'College Educated Workers are Most Exposed to A.I.' The subtitle reads 'Researchers at OpenAI estimated the share of tasks in each occupation that could be assisted by A.I. tools.' The charts shows that jobs that often require a high school diploma or less (like sewing machine operators, dry cleaners, fast-food workers) share 6% of job tasks potentially aided by A.I. Jobs that often require a high school diploma (such as manicurists and pedicurists, actors and security guards) share 17% of job tasks potentially aided by A.I. Vocation or 2-year degree jobs (such as electricians, paramedics and facilities managers) share 38% of job tasks; four-year degree jobs (such as nurses, nuclear engineers and human resources specialists) share 75% of job tasks and jobs that often require graduate school (such as pharmacists, psychiatrists and lawyers) share 64% of job tasks potentially aided by A.I. The percentage shown is the median percentage by education category. Data source is OpenAI (for ratings) and the Labor Department (for job categories). By The New York Times.
